Does Dripstone Fill Cauldrons in Bedrock?

Stalactites are created when pointed dripstone is placed on the bottom of a block. Stalactites less than 11 blocks tall passively drip water particles (or lava particles in the Nether) in the absence of a liquid source, but these particles do not fill cauldrons.

Will dripstone fill a cauldron?

It all comes down to having a water source. When you place a Dripstone Block down and have a water source above it, the block drips water. However, while it has the appearance of dropping water, it won't have enough to fill a cauldron or anything else.

Does dripstone fill cauldrons with lava bedrock?

A cauldron placed below a down-facing pointed dripstone that has lava placed a block above it will slowly fill up with lava. If a cauldron is filled by lava, using glass bottles on the cauldron does nothing.
