Does Electrode Size Affect Potential?

Does electrode size affect potential? It has no effect upon potential, with the exception of a cell that has curent flow from one terminal to the other. In this case, a larger electrode will give a voltage closer to the unloaded potential. The area of the electrodes has no effect upon the open cell voltage.

Does size of electrode affect cell potential?

Changing the size of the electrode doesn't change cell potential, but it will change the "battery" life.

Does the size of an electrode matter?

The dimensions of your electrodes should not effect the open circuit voltage, since this is determined solely by the identity and concentrations of the redox species. Once the cell is running, the dimensions may affect how much the voltage drops off as you draw current, known as "overpotential".
