Does Forza Motorsport Have Crossplay Enabled?

Does Forza Motorsport have crossplay, though? And for those that don't know what the feature is, what is crossplay?

Is Forza Motorsport crossplay?

Cross-platform play, a.k.a. Crossplay, is where a video game has an online environment that transcends two or more consoles. In the past, if you wanted to play a video game online with your friends, you needed to be on the same console.

Those barriers have been broken down in the past few years, though, as more and more games are enabling crossplay.

Forza is no stranger to this, as Forza Horizon 3, 4 and 5 all have crossplay. All three of these games have crossplay enabled between Xbox One, Series X | S and Windows PC.

Forza Motorsport will continue the trend that these games and Forza Motorsport 7 set by having crossplay enabled from its release date. So, whether you're on Series X | S or PC, you'll be able to race in the same lobbies as your friends.

Cross-progression

As you'd expect, Crossplay in Forza Motorsport includes the private and public multiplayer lobbies across both Xbox and PC. Forza takes it a step further, though, as both Rivals leaderboard and Drivatars can be shared across platforms.

Cross-progression is a unique feature for Forza Motorsport in racing games. You'll be able to carry out your career mode progress on multiple systems. So, you can start a save on Series X and be able to carry it on, on PC.

Forza's online cloud servers store driver progression, so it doesn't matter which system you're on, you can continue the good times on Forza on all of them.
