Does Honda Recommended Power Steering Flush

Honda does not recommend flushing the power steering fluid. That is a service we do not do.

Is a power steering flush necessary?

Bad power steering fluid can cause severe damage pumps, hoses, and steering gear seals. Eventually, this will wear down your power steering system to the point of failure. This can be a very dangerous situation. For this reason, mechanics recommend changing a power steering fluid flush every 50,000-75,000 miles.

How long does Honda power steering fluid last?

So ~3 years for brake fluid is a good number. PS fluid does not need to worry about water – it can easily evaporate out if any gets into the system. But like any fluid, it gets dirty as dirt gets in and internal components wear, can clog things, fail to lubricate, etc. and does have a finite lifetime.
