Is climate the same as weather?

Weather and climate describe the same thing—the state of the atmosphere—but at different time scales. Weather is what you experience when you step outside on any given day. In other words, it is the state of the atmosphere at a particular location over the short-term. ... Climate, on the other hand, changes more slowly.

What does weather and climate have in common?

Answer: Climate is essentially the aggregate of weather over longer time periods. So they are similar in that they are measured in the same way (temperature, humidity, atmospheric circulation, precipitation, etc.).
