One major downside to Mementos is that it eats up time. Besides taking up your day, it also locks you into Cafe Leblanc that same evening. You won't be able to go out or all people over!
How long do you have to complete mementos?
The following is IGN's walkthrough for most of December 24 (12/24) and the final Palace in Persona 5, the Depths of Mementos. This dungeon must be completed in a single day. However, you can leave to get healing items from the clinic in Yogen-Jaya or gear from the Airsoft shop in Shibuya whenever you please.
Can you ignore mementos?
Available from May 7th, Mementos are entirely optional, although we'd recommend that you don't ignore them completely as they serve some useful purposes.
