Does Nason Basecoat Need Activator?

According to the nason tech sheet you have to use the activator and the sheet says you can recoat anytime.

Do you have to use activator in Nason base coat?

You certainly can add hardner to the base, but is not neccesary there is an aritcle on adding clear activator to your base. So to answer your question though, i spray Nason all the time and you do not need to add the basecoat activator.

Do you put hardener in basecoat?

You don't have to use hardener in your base, but its better for adhesion purposes. The clear will bond to the base a lot better. Most company's say to use 1oz per sprayable quart of the same hardener that you use in your clear.
