Does Revivify Consume the Diamond?

That being said, I'm sure most DM's would allow some leeway against RAW, but not consume. As a DM, I'd say that for Revivify, if you happened to have a single diamond that was worth at least 300 gp, I would allow it. But it would always consume the whole diamond.

Does revivify 5e consume the diamond? The text for Revivify requires “diamonds worth 300gp, which the charm consumes.” ... Specifically, their 3rd-level course spells (where Fireball are ) are Plant Growth and Revivify, both exceptionally disheartening.

Does raise dead consume the diamond?

Raise Dead is a 5th level spell meaning you have to be Level 9 in the class to cast it. The diamonds they got are for Revivify which requires any number of diamonds worth up to 300 gold in total. Unlike Raise Dead it does not need to be a single diamond. Just curious on the component of a 500gp valued diamond.
