Does Silvadene Turn Skin Black

Silver sulfadiazene cream (Silvadene®) does indeed turn black as the silver ion oxidizes. However, the black pigments are not incorporated into the healing skin. Permanent skin discoloration is not from using silver sulfadizene on burn wounds.
