Does Suppressor Increase Velocity?

A suppressor will typically increase the muzzle velocity of ammunition and maintain if not improve shot group. The silencer is enabling the shooter to be more accurate by providing a much less violent platform to operate.

Does a suppressor lower velocity?

Modern suppressors allow the use of full-power ammunition, do not reduce the muzzle velocity, do not contact the bullet during flight, and often aid accuracy.

Does a suppressor affect performance?

It's generally accepted that a suppressor will actually increase the velocity of your rounds. However, that increase is often negligible. We're talking maybe 10-15fps. Unless you're using a top-notch chronograph, you won't notice that difference and it's definitely not something to write home about.
