The G80 uses Any 75W90 oil with no Additives. A LS diff has to have the additive in it for the clutch packs to function properly. The G80 is a Mechanically Locking Differential that engages when one wheels spins at a certain RPM mechanically locking the differential together.

Trucks use a G80 Locking differential, not a limited slip. Important: Installing any friction modifier causes the clutch pack in the locking differential to slip and miss engagement. A fluid flush can often remove debris that is a contributor to clutch chatter.
