To configure your account in the Windows 10 Mail app:

1. Launch the Windows Mail app.
2. Click on the Settings icon.
3. From the menu that will pop up, choose Accounts.
4. Select the option to “Add account” with the plus sign attached.
5. For POP3 base account, choose “Advanced Setup”.
6. Click on “Internet Email”.

Does Windows 10 mail use IMAP or POP?

If you do need to set up your mail account for the first time, the Mail client supports all the standard mail systems, including (of course) Outlook.com, Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo!
