Donald Neff

Professional Background

Donald Neff, MD, FACS, is an assistant professor of urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

A native of Wisconsin, he entered healthcare as a firefighter/paramedic. It was here that he found his passion for medicine, and earned his undergraduate degree while working full time.

He then went on to complete medical school and urology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. While a medical student, he earned several awards including the William Booker Memorial Award in pharmacology, the Hiram Benjamin Award for proficiency in anatomy, the Frankow Award for outstanding academic achievement and the Millman Award given by the senior class to the outstanding candidate for the Doctor of Medicine degree. As a resident, he also received the Medical College of Wisconsin Award for house staff excellence in teaching.

Dr. Neffs treatment interests include benign prostate disease, laser surgery of the prostate, urological trauma, and kidney stones. He has a special interest in international outreach, and travels annually to Catacamas, Honduras to provide Urologic care to the local population.
