When Donny was young, his family had gone to California to see Lawrence Welk. They were unable to meet him so they decided to stay in Disneyland for a vacation.This is where Walt Disney had discovered Donny's older brothers Wayne Osmond, Alan Osmond, Merrill Osmond and Jay Osmond. They played in Disneyland and were promptly asked to perform on The Andy Williams Show (1962). They performed nine years on the show, with Donny joining the show at age six.
