Ed Thomas McCaffrey was born on August 17, 1968, as Ed McCaffrey. He was born and reared in the United States of America’s Waynesboro.

Elizabeth McCaffrey gave birth to Thomas (mother). Ed’s father, Edward McCaffrey Sr., was a basketball player as well. Additionally, he participated in basketball at St. Joseph’s College. His father, according to accounts, always encouraged him to play baseball.

Ed is the eldest son of Elizabeth and has four siblings. He is the brother of two brothers and the sister of two sisters. Indeed, his upbringing was remarkable, as he had numerous siblings with whom to play.

McCaffrey attended Allentown Central Catholic School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He also played basketball in addition to football.
