Where do I start for Evangelion?

You’ll start with the original anime, fittingly titled Neon Genesis Evangelion, and watch from episode 1 to episode 20 as you normally would. There are both regular and Director’s Cut versions of episodes 21 to 24. These cuts add a lot more content and flesh out the story and lore.

What order should I read Evangelion?

The quickest way, which is recommended by a lot of fans, would be episodes 1-20, then 21′-24′, then 25-26, then The End of Evangelion. If you have more time, I would recommend the full original series, then the Director’s Cut episodes, then The End of Evangelion.
