If you’re looking for a new drama to watch on Netflix that will also have you Googling holidays, try the new Spanish series ‘Alba’. Created by Carlos Martín and Ignasi Rubio, it’s been receiving rave reviews so far thanks to edge-of-your-seat tension and stunning locations for the backdrop.

The Netflix series was adapted from a Turkish show called ‘Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne?’, and tells the story of a girl called Alba Lorens, played by Elena Rivera, who is loving life with her boyfriend Bruno.

What is the plot of Alba?

The plot of the gripping drama revolves around a night where everything goes wrong after Alba returns home to her hometown and attends a party. Alba wakes up the following morning on the beach and comes to the horrific realisation that she has been sexually assaulted by four men. She slowly starts to piece together the events and remembers that three of the four men were Bruno’s best friends. The real trouble starts when she remembers who the fourth attacker was.
