Following their wedding, Couric revealed during an appearance on the Today Show that Molner had taken the lead in planning most of the wedding. She described their wedding as an intimate and extraordinary occasion.

She also mentioned that on their wedding day, the weather was perfect, and the garden looked exceptionally beautiful. The journalist fondly recalled the presence of incredible dahlias scattered all around, which added to the perfection of the day.
