Gautam Adani  is an Indian billionaire businessman. He is the Chairman and founder of Adani Group that deals with various sectors. Businesses include coal trading, coal mining, oil gas exploration, gas distribution, power generation and transmission.

Also, ports, logistics, agriculture and edible oils. Gautam Adani is known to be very close with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi had offered Adani several big projects which came into question when Modi was Gujarat’s Chief Minister.
Adani has made himself much due to the credit of Narendra Modi as Modi is pro industrialist and Adani has earned much due to his projects in Gujarat.

Early Life and Education

Gautam Shantilal Adani was born on 24th June 1962 in Ahmadabad, Gujarat, India to a Jain family. His parents were Shantaben and Shantilal Adani. He finished schooling from Seth C.N. Vidyalya School, Ahmadabad. He left after 2 years without completing Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Gujarat University. He worked as a diamond sorter at Mahindra Bros for two years. He set up his own diamond brokerage in Mumbai but returned to Ahmadabad. He worked with his brother in his plastic factory.

Gautam is married to Priti Adani, who is a dentist and heads the Adani Foundation as a managing trustee. The couple has two sons namely Karan and Jeet.
