Genshin Impact 2.1: Activate the Mechanism

The puzzle-based quest, Relics of Seirai, in Genshin Impact 2.1 requires you to activate the mechanism in order to uncover the underground puzzle.

The long-awaited Genshin Impact 2.1 recently went live with a ton of new quests, achievements, features, and more. The Relics of Seirai is one of the most important story quests that let players explore the many secrets of the newly added Seirai island.

Since it’s a pretty lengthy quest, the Travelers will get the following exceptional rewards upon its completion:

  • 50x Primogems
  • Hero’s Wit x3
  • 30,000 Mora
  • It has to be trasure achievement

While the whole Relics of Seirai is pretty straightforward to accomplish, many players seem to be stuck at the second stage, “Activate the mechanism.” So without further ado, here’s a comprehensive Genshin Impact guide to surpass it.

How to Activate the Mechanism in Genshin Impact 2.1

After reaching the Fujiwara Toshiko’s location, the primary objective is to check and activate the mechanism by following the three Japanese Symbols as a hint.

In order to activate the mechanism, pull the Start lever near the Fujiwawra Toshiko. Once it’s activated, step on all three platforms in order to light them up.

Once the players succeed, they will hear a crumbling noise, and a big hole will emerge on the right side of the Fujiwara’s house. Afterward, the conversation between the character and Fujiwara will go like this:

  • Fujiwara Toshiko: Wh—What was that noise…
  • Fujiwara Toshiko: Did you just see that? A giant… hole just opened up over there!
  • Fujiwara Toshiko: Looks like there’s… some sort of basement here! Lets go in and have a look, come on!

Next, Travelers have to navigate down to the basement, where they will encounter a similar puzzle but slightly complex to complete from the previous one.
