Georgia Hall

Georgia Hall is a professional golfer. She is well known for her participation in the Ladies European Tour.

Hall is also well-known for her participation in the Ladies PGA Tour. She’s also competed in the ALPG Tour. She is also the 2013 winner of the British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship.

Georgia turned professional in 2014, winning the LET Access Series.

A professional life

Hall made his professional debut in July 2014, winning the Open Generali de Strasbourg on the LET Access Series. She won the Oates Victorian Open on the ALPG Tour in early 2016. Hall won the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit in 2017 after finishing in the top ten in seven events, including a tie for third at the Women’s British Open and a tie for tenth at the Evian Championship.

Hall qualified for the LPGA Tour in 2018 by qualifying school.

She secured her first major championship in August 2018, finishing two strokes ahead of Pornanong Phatlum at the 2018 Women’s British Open. She finished the season by defending her title on the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit for the second time, making her the youngest player to do so.

Hall won two tournaments on the Rose Ladies Series in 2020 when the main tours were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and placed second in the overall standings behind Charley Hull. The LPGA Tour resumed play at the end of July, and she won the Cambia Portland Classic in September for the second time on the tour and the first time in the United States, defeating Ashleigh Buhai in a sudden-death playoff.

Private life

During the 2018 Women’s British Open, Hall’s boyfriend, Wayne, served as her caddie.

She was born two days before Nick Faldo won his third Masters’s title at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, in one of the biggest sporting comebacks in history. Her name was inspired by Faldo’s famous victory in Georgia.

In the 2019 Birthday Honours, Hall was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for contributions to golf.
