'Gingers Do Have Souls' Guy Rips into South Park and Declares He Still Has a Soul

The 'Gingers Do Have Souls' guy has finally revealed what made him record his now iconic YouTube video more than a decade ago.

For the unfamiliar, CopperCab became an internet sensation at the beginning of 2010 when he filmed himself standing outside his home and declaring that he has a soul.

In a video with Know Your Meme, CopperCab, whose real name is Michael Tyler Kittrell, explained how a South Park episode in 2005 saw Eric Cartman claim that kids with red hair don't have a soul.

While it might have been a funny episode for some people, Kittrell said it led to a lot of bullying in high school.

He said loads of people ripped on him for being ginger and he snapped at one point.

Michael got 'creative' rather than 'destructive' with his anger and snapped the video. It ended up seeing him become a viral meme.

During his interview, he made it clear his anger towards Cartman was still red hot as he broke his chair while discussing the South Park episode.

"See, this is what happens when I start talking about Cartman," he said. "First of all, you're not God, Cartman. You don't know who has. soul and who doesn't, okay.

"You don't know me, you don't know my people. Ginger are a race, and we should be proud of our skin colour, our hair colour, of being freckled.

"We're like the leopards, the cheetahs of the human race, and there's nothing to be ashamed of."

He then touched on how it felt to be included in another episode of South Park, where Cartman dressed up like CopperCab and uttered his iconic lines.

While loads of people would think it would be 'an honour' to be 'immortalised' on such a legendary show, Michael says it was 'disrespectful'.

He said he felt that way when his episode first aired and he feels like that now.

"I did not give them permission to put me on South Park and I don't appreciate it," he said. "I was a 17 year-old-boy, okay. A boy!"

Kittrell was fuming when he first saw Cartman dressed like him in a hoodie and standing in a driveway.

During the video he still exclaims that he still has a soul and is married now.
