Hannah Murray is known worldwide for her role in “Game of Thrones”. She played the role of Gilly in “Game of Thrones” from 2012 to 2019. 

Before GOT, she was famous for playing the role of Cassie Ainsworth in the series “Skins” from 2007 to 2008 and in 2013. 

She won a BAFTA Audience Award for her role as Cassie in “Skins”. She was nominated for two SAG Awards for her role in “Game of Thrones”.

This English actress has also received much critical acclaim for her performance in “Martine” and “Bridgen”.

Early Life

Hannah Murray’s full name is Tegan Lauren-Hannah Murray. She was born to Martin Murray and Rosemary Silverstein on July 1, 1989, in Bristol, England. Her father Martin was a university professor, and her mother Rosemary was a laboratory assistant in the chemistry department. They both worked in the same institution. She is their only child. 

As a kid, she used to attend a public boarding school. She got a degree in English from Queens College which is in Cambridge. Hannah loved acting ever since she was a kid and as a teenager, took part in various workshops and plays organized by North Bristol Post 16 Centre.
