Are Swiss Chalet fries frozen?

In the past they served fresh cut fries, crisp and tasty. They have now switched to what appears to be a frozen "formed" french fry, i.e. mash potatoes formed into the shape of a french fry, a cheap imitation which fry up soft and limp and are not worth eating.
