Opal Marguerite Catledge gave birth to Holly in Conyers, Georgia, on March 20, 1958. Holly’s father’s name is Charles Edwin Hunter. He was a representative for a sporting goods brand. Furthermore, Holly grew up in a large family and was the youngest of all the seven children.

Unfortunately, she suffered from Mumps when she was young. It resulted in losing her hearing strength of one ear. The disease took her hearing facility, but it failed to make her determination to become an actress weak. She was very much into the acting since childhood days. Holly had portrayed the character of Hellen Keller in a play when she was in grade five.
