One of Ireland's largest urban green spaces, Tralee Town Park is over 14 hectares and laid out on what used to be a country estate. In the 17th and 18th centuries this was a demesne for the Denny Family, whose castle was torn down in 1826 to make way for Denny Street on the north side of the park.
