How Do I Delete All Comments and Posts on Reddit?

Answer

To delete your comments, navigate to and click the ‘Delete all my comments’ button below your Karma level to start the deletion process.

You can delete your own comments and posts on Reddit (including your user page), but you cannot delete someone else’s comments or posts.

Deleting a comment: Go to the permalink of the comment you would like to delete Click the down arrow in the upper right hand corner of the comment next to “distinguished” Choose either Delete this Comment or Delete and Block User, then click Confirm. Your post will be removed from all pages it was submitted to. The post will still exist on your profile under Posts > *your username* > Comments with an indicator that it has been deleted by you. Deleting a self-post: go to its permalink page, click “edit,” scroll to “reason for deletion,” and click delete.

You can also remove posts from your Reddit “front page” by clicking the X button on any post, but you will need to reload the front page for this action to take effect.

The deletion of comments or self-posts is permanent and cannot be undone, so please be sure that you want to do this before proceeding. Deleting content may affect others’ ability to find it using search features, but does not censor it in any way (nor should it). It also may result in a loss of attribution for your username or other related data if others have referred back to something you said on Reddit (for example, if someone quotes something you previously posted elsewhere). If you would like assistance deleting a comment, please contact us using the “?” icon located at the bottom of every page. Please note that self-posts are not considered comments for this purpose. If you have deleted and reposted it as a self-post, we will treat it as brand new content and require you to start your own discussion thread where questions might be answered by other users.
