How Do I Find My Computer Name in Windows 7?

How do I find computer name?

Find your computer name in Windows 10

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click System and Security > System. On the View basic information about your computer page, see the Full computer name under the section Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings.

Is device name and computer name the same?

It does not matter what the name is, just that there is one. This is why Windows offers you a default name when you install it. The computer name must be unique when your device is part of a network. Otherwise, communication issues and conflicts can appear between two or more computers with the same name.
