How do I access the CD-ROM on Linux?
To mount a CD-ROM on Linux:
- Switch user to root : $ su – root.
- If necessary, enter a command similar to one of the following to unmount the currently mounted CD-ROM, then remove it from the drive:
- Red Hat: # eject /mnt/cdrom.
- UnitedLinux: # eject /media/cdrom.
