It’s my understanding that for Windows 7 the steps to delete the partition are as follows:

  1. Click Start Button.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click Administrative Tools.
  4. Right click Computer Management and choose Run as Administrator.
  5. Click Disc Management.
  6. Right click the partition created for XP and choose delete.
