Right clicking an icon brings up a context menu and there is an option to resize it.

To change the size of icons, go to your file browser (home directory) and select desktop, there you can change the size of the icons with the + and – tools to change the icons from say 100% to 67%. they should all change together. Each directory’s icon size has to be adjusted separately.

1. Open ‘files’ (the graphical file explorer in ubuntu)
2. edit > preferences.
3. under “icon view defaults” change “default zoom level” and see the effect on the items on your desktop.
