- First of all change the default settings.
- Go to File >> Options >> then Mail.
- Select Advanced Option >> Maintenance.
- Choose Empty Items from the Deleted Items Folder.
- Hit on Exit button to complete and save the process.
Why is Windows Mail deleting emails?
An update from last month seems to have introduced a bug into the Mail app which is causing problems with Gmail accounts. The bug causes sent emails to be deleted, meaning there is no way to check past correspondence.
