How do I add a Chinese keyboard to Windows?
A window opens called ‘Text Services and Input Languages’ (see screenshot below), and click on ‘Add’ (see screenshot). You may then get a box called ‘Add input language’. From the drop-down list, select ‘Chinese (PRC)’ and it should fill in the ‘Keyboard layout/IME’ box with ‘Chinese (Simplified) – US Keyboard’.

- Go to System Preferences.
- Choose Keyboard.
- Choose Input Sources.
- Click +
- Select Chinese (Simplified) – Pinyin – Simplified then click Add.
- Make sure ‘Show Input menu in menu bar’ is checked.
- Use the language icon in the menubar at the top to switch modes.
