Can I upgrade Internet Explorer in Windows 7?

Microsoft has discontinued support for Internet Explorer ending with Internet Explorer 11 and cannot be upgraded past version 11. Internet Explorer 11 is only available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and is included in Windows 10 even though the Microsoft Edge browser is the default browser in Windows 10.

How do I install Internet Explorer 64 bit on Windows 7?

In the Windows Update window, do a check for the latest updates, by clicking on the “Check for updates” link on the left side. Once the search ends, open the list of Optional Updates. In it, you should see an update that’s called Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7. Select it and then click OK.
