Propagators are compact incubators for raising seedlings in an optimum environment. They typically consist of an under tray filled with a growing medium and a transparent cover. In essence this creates a miniature greenhouse which lets light in but retains moisture and heat.
How do I use my propagator?
Place your seed tray or pots in the unit and make sure the ventilation slots are open. Make sure you've switched it on! Check the unit daily and water sparingly. Take the lid off to air for half an hour every day, and wipe off excess moisture.
When should propagator lid be removed?
Re: when to remove propagator lid? Remove them as soon as you see signs of germination. If you don't, the first ones will go leggy. Don'y worry about the ones you can't see.
