Can you drive Molls Gap?
Moll's Gap is no problem. Just don't try it between 4pm and 6pm in the direction of Kenmare, as you will be meeting all the tour buses. You certainly can drive the Gap of Dunloe and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. However, there are a few callouts on this.
Why is it called Molls Gap?
Moll's Gap is named after Moll Kissane, landlady of an infamous shebeen — that's a small, unlicensed pub — known across the land for her homemade poitin.
