How to Learn Demotic?

Students usually learn Demotic after taking Late Egyptian, which is in turn taken after a year or two of Middle Egyptian. If you are new to Egyptian, I recommend starting with Middle Egyptian and/or Coptic before tackling the other phases of Egyptian.
