Monster Hunter Rise is all set to officially launch for Nintendo Switch. As the launch day comes closer, fans are quite excited to play Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) solo and with friends. There are people, who own a Switch, have been wondering how to play Monster Hunter Rise multiplayer.

Notably, the upcoming RPG has both local and online multiplayer and we have already learnt how the multiplayer feature works in its demo. There is a small difference between its Demo and the official game.

Unlike the Demo, players will have to visit Monster Hunter Rise’s online lobby to play the game with their friends and stranger around the world. How to play Local Co-Op and Online Multiplayer in Monster Hunter Rise

Local Co-op (Local Connection)

Unlike online play, players don’t need an internet connection to play local Co-op Multiplayer in Monster Hunter Rise. The only reason why players don’t need an internet connection to play local co-0- Multiplayer in MH Rise is the Nintendo Switch produces its own ad-hoc Wifi-connection, allowing players to play the game everywhere in the world.

Here are a few simple steps that you need to follow to jump into a local multiplayer game in MH Rise.

• From the Menu, Select Multiplayer
• Select Play Locally
• Select either Find a Lobby or Create a Lobby.
• If you select ‘Find a Lobby’, you will find players but if you select ‘Create a Lobby’, you will not have any players there.
• If you want to play with your friends then they will have to select Find a Lobby to join you. If they select ‘Create a Lobby’, they all will end up in a separate game.
• If you don’t want random players to join your room, you can set a password.

Online Multiplayer Guide

In order to play online multiplayer in Monster Hunter Rise, you will need to have an uninterrupted internet connection and a Nintendo Online Account.

Here are a few simple steps that you need to follow if you want to play online multiplayer in MH Rise:

• From the Main Menu, Select Multiplayer
• Select Play Online
• Select either Find Lobby/ Create a Lobby/ Search by Lobby ID
• If you select Find Lobby, you will have to select a targeted monster and language preference. Once selected, you will see a list of rooms on the screen. Select the desired room and jump into the game with other random hunters.
• If you select Create a Lobby, you will be the first person in the room. Your friends will have to select ‘Find Lobby’ to join your rooms and play online multiplayer with you.
• If you select Search by Lobby ID,  you will have an option to share IDs with people with who you wan to play online multiplayer. Make sure to set a password and share it with the person with who you are sharing the IDs.
