How is Achromobacter xylosoxidans treated?
It was sensitive to meropenem, imipenem, piperacillin-tazobactam, ticarcillin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and third-generation cephalosporins. It was successfully treated with two weeks of meropenem [4]. Our case is to date the second reported case of Achromobacter xylosoxidans subspecies denitrificans.
