• Place your cursor in the location where you wish to insert a special character.
• Activate the numeric key pad on the right of the keyboard by pressing Num Lock (upper right of keyboard).
• While pressing down the ALT key, type the four-digit code on the numeric key pad at the right edge of the keyboard.

How do I get special characters on my keyboard?

1. Ensure that the Num Lock key has been pressed, to activate the numeric key section of the keyboard.
2. Press the Alt key, and hold it down.
3. While the Alt key is pressed, type the sequence of numbers (on the numeric keypad) from the Alt code in the above table.
4. Release the Alt key, and the character will appear.

How do I type a Ø?

When you want to type in a Danish letter you hold down the Alt key and type a code into the 10 key pad. Once you release the Alt key, the letter will appear.

Type the Æ, Ø, Å and ß using the 10 key pad and the Alt key.

• Æ is 146.
• æ is 145.
• Ø is 0216.
• ø is 0248.
• Å is 143.
• å is 134.
• ß is 225.
