Ice Machine Cleaner - How to Discuss

Ice machine cleaner

How often should you be cleaning your ice machine? Your ice maker should be cleaned and sanitized at least once every six months to keep it running efficiently. This maintenance process requires you to first perform a cleaning procedure to remove scale, lime and mineral deposits, and then a disinfection procedure to disinfect the unit and remove algae and sludge.

How to clean an ice machine?

Turn off the ice maker and make sure it is unplugged. Turn off the water supply to the ice maker. Drain the machine and discard all ice and water. Remove the parts to be cleaned from the machine according to the instructions in the user manual. Use one part ice machine cleaner to three parts water and thoroughly clean all parts of the machine. Rinse the parts with clean water. Replace parts and clean all surfaces with a soft cloth. Let the car air dry. Plug in the machine and restart the ice maker. When the first serving of ice cream is ready, throw it away. Enjoy ice cream for another three to six months!
