Is a Heat Gun Dangerous

The hot air flow of a heat gun is less dangerous than a naked flame but it can still cause highly flammable items to catch fire, crack glass and injury if directed onto skin.

When should you not use a heat gun?

Do not use a heat gun near combustible or flammable materials including open containers of flammable liquids, flammable vapors or hoods used to control flammable vapors/atmospheres. Be aware of the direction of the heat. Always switch the heat gun off before putting it down on any surface.

How long can you run a heat gun continuously?

You can use the DW340 for 15 minutes continuously then you have to leave it to cool before you can use it again. While cooling don’t bump the unit as this can damage the element.
