Can greenware be composted?
Greenware cups, lids, portion cups and on-the-go boxes are BPI certified to be 100% compostable in industrial facilities, which may not be available in your area. Not suitable for backyard composting.
Can greenware be recycled ceramics?
Many potters keep their non contaminated (21) clay scraps from trimming, broken greenware, or old throwing slurry (3) to recycle and reuse. As long as clay has not been fired it can be recycled (10, 21).
