Is Coving Old Fashioned?

Old fashioned coving creates a curve between the top of the wall and the ceiling, and is usually painted white, to create an approximate mirror image of the skirting board at the other end of the wall. Vintage chic is the reason why retro-fitting this type of coving has become so popular, even in modern homes.

Should I have coving or not?

Coving can make the room look smaller ceilings lower & out of date. if you want it to look moden don't use coving. If you ever wanted to remove it, you will get damage to the walls & ceiling. Any cracks can be sorted.

When was coving fashionable?

When coving came back into fashion during the 1980s, the materials available were usually low quality and/or difficult to work with and the designs extremely simple.
