Is Ixl Learning Any Good

With resources for Pre-K to 8th grade, IXL Math is a good site for practice and drill. While the site also has a paid membership that includes comprehensive coverage of math skills, the free access provides plenty of interactive practice on a variety of skills arranged by age and topic.

What is bad about IXL?

The problem about IXL is it’s rigged. The point system is glitched and it doesn’t help kids. I looked at recent reviews and it actually makes students less engaged in the lesson IXL has to offer. Also, I found that some of the lessons make you assume genders.

What are the pros and cons of IXL?

Pros: Helps students develop confidence and clearly track progress; teachers get immediate stats on their students’ trouble spots. Cons: Drilling limits opportunities for kids to apply skills in real-world ways, and questions include too-frequent repetition.
