Is the Rasengan Wind Style?
In the Sasuke Shinden novel, Naruto uses the power of the Nine-Tails to form a Wind Release: Rasengan that he's able to throw; he also doesn't need any shadow clones to create it. When it hits its target, it creates a shockwave of wind away from Naruto.

What style is the Rasengan?

Description: Rasengan is a Ninjutsu technique developed over the span of three years by the Fourth Hokage, who created it as an Futon element. The technique has been taught to his sensei, Jiraiya, who then passed it on to the young ninja Naruto years later.

Does Rasengan need wind style?

Is the Rasengan pure chakra or a wind style jutsu? The base Rasengan is pure chakra, with no nature transformation/element applied to it. The Fūton Rasengan used by Naruto(from which he then developed the Rasenshuriken) is a Wind Style technique because it's a Rasengan with Wind Nature chakra applied to it.
