Condra was married to a famous Bird Family, despite not being from a prominent family.

Janet’s father-in-law, Claude Joseph “Joe” Bird, was a Korean War veteran. Her mother-in-law was Georgina Kerns Bird. Georgia Kerns Bird supported her family by working two jobs at the same time. Eddie Bird, Jeff Bird, Mike Bird, and Mark Bird were her four brothers-in-law.

Condra attended Springs Valley High School for her academic qualifications.
