Japan Ranks Genshin Impact Raiden Shogun, Zhongli, and Childe on Top 30 Characters List

Now to close out 2021, Japan’s Animate Times decided to gauge who their audience found most popular in current media. All in all, three of Genshin Impact‘s playable characters made the list, showing just how universally popular the RPG is.

Firstly, Animate Times established their Top 30 from a broad base of animated characters. Looking at anime, games, and music, their audience dictated who the top characters were in media.

GENSHIN IMPACT‘S TOP CHARACTERS IN JAPAN – RAIDEN SHOGUN

Coming in at Number 27 on the list is Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon character in the game. Voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro (Japanese ver.) and Anne Yatco (English ver.), Raiden Shogun is one of Genshin Impact‘s most popular characters. She was a highly anticipated character for the 2.1 update, as she was one of two new Electro characters since the game’s launch.

Additionally, with her clearly Japanese-inspired design and powerful Electro abilities, it’s no wonder how she ended up on Animate Times’ Top 30.

NEXT ON THE LIST: ZHONGLI

Further down the list is the ever-popular Zhongli. With a powerful Jade E / Elemental skill, Zhongli is long known to be a team essential. That, combined with cool and collected dialogue and a slick design, make him one of the most sought-after characters in Genshin Impact. After all, he’s slated to have yet another potential banner re-run, just so players can once again have the opportunity to snag him.

Additionally, he’s voiced by industry powerhouses Tomoaki Maeno (Japanese ver.) and Keith Silverstein (English ver.). They both bring in a widely impressive background, adding a touch of sophisticated power to Zhongli’s presence.
