Jerod Mayo was a middle linebacker who was born on February 23, 1986 in Hampton, VA. He was drafted 10th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft and spent his entire 8-year NFL career with the New England Patriots. Mayo was a Pro Bowl selection in 2010 and 2012 and appeared in Super Bowl XLVI. He was unable to play in Super Bowl XLIX due to an injury, but still earned a Super Bowl ring when the Patriots won the game.
