Joe’s paternal grandfather was Samuel John “Sam” Lando. Samuel was from Rossana, Italy.

Joe’s paternal grandmother was Yoland/Yolanda Bergamin (the daughter of Eugenio Bergamin and Amelia Bortoloso/Bortolazzo). Yoland was born in Fort William, Ontario, Canada, of Italian descent.
